Criticism and Response

to the Delacato Method

Throughout the years we have received a great deal of criticism for our work, largely because the Delacato Method, which is based on neurological treatment approaches, contradicts many long standing beliefs about the causes of behavioral problems. Historically, the medical community has placed autism and learning disorders in the realm of psychology; we place these syndromes in the realm of neurology.

We are currently developing a compendium of criticism and our response to criticism, to help clarify the effectiveness of our treatment methods.
